| BLACK ICE was created to celebrate and spotlight the artisty, talent, power and strength of minorities in figure skating. We know there are minority figure skaters, minority coaches, minority choreographers and minority judges in the figure skating community; and this year we at Black Ice would like to spotlight skaters, coaches, choreographers and judges by posting their stories. Stories on why and how they got into skating. Stories on what it takes to stay in this sport. Stories to help encourage each other and those just starting out. Stories to help the next generation of talent. We are interest in all minorities that are involved in the sport - Africian, Hispanic, Asian, Indian, as well as other persons of color. You can be from the United States or from any country. You must be, or have been, involved in the sport. Skaters can be at the juvenile level or at the Adult level. Yes, skaters should be or have been a member of a skating club and have participated in competitions. So, if you would like to share your story - remember, no story is to small or unimportant - just write it up and submit it with a photo - remember we want to spotlight you - and email me by clicking here. Please get the word out, tell your friends, skatemates, coaches everybody, and remember We are - Powerful, Determinated, Motivated - BLACK ICE.
